Bridge and Seed Funding Intramural Research Grants

Two Intramural Research Grant initiatives have been announced by Dr. Salomon Amar, DDM, PhD, in his role as Touro College and University System Provost for Biomedical Research: Bridge and Seed Funding.

These programs were established following from 2012 recommendations of the Research Advancement Task Force to increase basic and clinical research in the biomedical and health sciences throughout the Touro College and University system.

The Bridge Funding Grant Program aims to improve the likelihood of securing renewed funding for projects already initiated.  The application deadline for this year’s program is March 6, 2017.

The Seed Funding Grant Program is designed to encourage collaboration and possible interdisciplinary research between and among faculty, colleges, and campuses throughout the Touro College and University System.  The application deadline for this year’s program is March 6, 2017.

Internal peer reviews are conducted by active researchers selected from the faculty, and the final review and recommendations are carried out by the Touro College and University System Biomedical and Health Sciences Research Council, which oversees both programs.

Program guidelines, instructions, and application forms are available at the website hosted by the Touro College Office of Sponsored Programs. The staff at the Office of Research Administration at New York Medical College and at the offices of Sponsored Programs at Touro College, Touro University California, and Touro University Nevada should be contacted if you have any questions about these programs.

We urge and encourage your participation.
